We have designed this course for those who are fascinated by the world of 3D and want to learn how to create content for their multimedia projects, model an object for 3D printing or a scene for a video game.

You will learn to use all the tools that Maya offers from scratch, including techniques to correctly model, create materials and lights and render the scene.

If you are an enthusiast and want to start modeling objects and characters in 3D, it is essential to master Autodesk Maya, the most popular 3D software in the industry.

Interface

You will become familiar with the work environment. You will begin to know how to orient yourself within the virtual scene and you will see how the menus and tools are organized.

Basics of 3D modeling

You will set up a scene and learn how to clean geometry in Maya. You will see and know the basic concepts of creating a correct topology. Then, you will learn how to build your first 3D object, the easy way.

Texturing and lighting

You will create scene lights and a render set in Arnold to render your 3D objects and characters and present them once modeled. You will discover the different textures and how to apply them.

How to export the 3D object

You will gain the skills to export the 3D object you have modeled in all the necessary graphic formats, for example, for 3D printing and for video games.

I live in Bari, I have studied the world of art since high school. I started to modify geometric shapes with the techniques of traditional sculpture and I graduated in Decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts. Ten years ago I started to approach and deepen the world of 3D by also acquiring an Autodesk license. In 2018 I founded Kabum where my role is that of lighting artist and 3D generalist.

A certificate of participation will be issued.

Students will need to have a laptop with Autodesk Maya 2019.

This course is done in collaboration with Equipho Photographic Space, a space created for creatives.

Spazio Fotografia Equipho is a reality born of two photography and videography students who, after two years of online work, decided to ask the Puglia Region for help, which wanted to believe in them and in their project and finance their photographic space.

Equipho Photographic Space includes a professional photo studio, with arranging an airplane, classic and colorful backdrops and all the equipment that every photographer and videomaker could wish for.
